‘Home and Away’ at Da Gadderie, Shetland Museum

Some of my work will be shown alongside other artists connected to Shetland in an upcoming group exhibition entitled ‘Home and Away’ at Da Gadderie, Shetland Museum, 25th November - 22nd December 2017.

I’ll be showing some recent drawings of items of weaving equipment from here in Shetland. This is continuing an on-going project of finding and drawing these historic artefacts. Through drawing and learning about them, I hope to find out about weaving industries and its changes over the years, and what this can perhaps tell us about an increasingly industrialised and globalised world.
