Tonight - last drawing club!

Tonight is the last evening in our series of 5 weekly Drawing Club sessions. We’ve traced the history of drawing, from the cave art of early man, through to Renaissance innovators, academy masters and Romantic rebels. Tonight we’ll look at contemporary drawing practices and will find out about how today, after so much change, turmoil, and deconstruction in the last few centuries, definitions of drawing have been redefined. Today, drawing can be almost anything.

Each week we’ve also learnt about changes and innovations in drawing materials, and tried for ourselves new techniques and drawing exercises to practise proportion, spatial illusion, and drawing from the imagination, to name a few.

Every evening, it’s been lovely to see drawings emerge from peoples’ pages, and they’ve been so many interesting points of discussion and surprises that have emerged too. Thankyou very much to all those who came along to Drawing Club, I hope to draw with you again soon!
