Exploring Organic Forms Through Drawing

‘Exploring Organic Forms Through Drawing’ is a new drawing workshop, in association with Adult Learning Shetland!

Spend time drawing outside this spring, studying nature’s many forms and patterns.

In Week 1, we’ll sketch the beautiful spring displays at Jubilee Flower Park, Lerwick, studying interesting lines and shapes. Before we head outside to draw, the afternoon will begin in Islesburgh, Lerwick with an introduction to some basic drawing techniques which will allow you to ‘draw what you see’, illustrated with interesting examples from artists.

In Week 2, we’ll work further with our sketches, experimenting with composition, abstraction and collage to make images which explore both the orderly and dynamic in nature.

Suitable for all levels of drawing ability.
