Upcoming exhibition in Yell, Shetland

A lovely day in Yell at the weekend. The ground was alive with orchids, all kinds of spring flowers, and lichens.

There was time for a walk in a beautifully wild corner of the island, around Virdi Water and Cro Waters, and to draw a view across the Loch of Graveland.

The day also included a visit to the Old Haa Museum. I'm delighted to be showing work there later this year. This solo exhibition exploring wilderness and landscape is called 'Immersion', and will run from 2 - 22nd September.

The exhibition is part of a project supported by Visual Artist and Craft Maker Award.
