In this image, the dome at the radar station is being built. In this strange and eerie image, the network of scaffolding gives a sense of the structure in a state of formation, almost materialising in front of the eye, a changing and impermanent, alien construction. Looking like an architectural drawing in physical realisation, this image allows the mind to travel back through time, undermining the current feeling the dome structure seems to give of being ageless, both from a strange technological future and from the past.
