‘Floating Garden’

2024, charcoal on paper, 420mm x 1782mm

Like the ‘Another World’ drawings I shared yesterday, this work was also inspired by being online and virtually walking around a garden/nature park. Influenced by Chinese painting, I was here interested in creating an image of a shifting and strange environment, which encourages the eye and imagination to wander through.

Floating Garden was also shown earlier this year in ‘Drawing Beyond’, at Breaker’s Gallery, North Kensington, London, a group exhibition by the Royal Drawing School’s Online Drawing Development Year cohort 2023.
